Alternature specialises in sustainable products and eco-design offering a range of stunning products from boot stands & welly racks to hat stands and bespoke contemporary furniture all hand crafted in-house in Cornwall by Tristan Harris, a 'Sustainable Design' graduate of University College Falmouth.
Established in 2006, Alternature is a small company based in the the town of Redruth, as part of the creative community that is The Old Grammar School or 'Krowji'.

An important part of Alternature and something we are passionate about. We aim to make everything as eco-friendly as possible from when we design something to how it is disposed off.

Local materials are used whenever possible; our Oak is Cornish. We also use local business wherever possible for consumables and services. Packaging is reused from a local source and waste is recycled. Our waste chippings are used by a local fish smoker and our off-cuts used by Grammar School residents to heat their homes and studios.

Nothing is left to waste here at Alternature and we strive to make as little environmental impact as possible.

We offer Welly boot stands with the option of Pine or Oak which are available in a range of sizes. As well as this we also produce wall mounted boot holders in a range of sizes and materials. Great gifts designed, crafted and sent straight from Cornwall.

Our product range is expanding quickly. We now offer Oak framing, storage for shoes and boots in both Pine and Oak. Our range of conceptual furniture is exquisite and totally unique to us. Sure to catch the eye for its quality as well as quirky design. Our unique and highly popular Oak hat stands are a great example of this.

We have a background in furniture design and as such are able to produce anything you may require be it a chair, table, mirror or a variation of our existing products on offer......just ask for a free quotation.
